Angina Friday Report

Story so far. 8 exercise sessions endured, and enjoyed. Hope they continue. Local GPs seem to be unaware that this facility exists for chronic stable angina patients and it really is essential.

I'm on a relatively new drug, Ranolazine, and that combined with the others has reduced the number of angina events. The dosage of Ranolazine was increased last week, several weeks after the hospital wrote to the GP advising the new dosage....

Have put my name forward to be trained as a trainer for the Expert Patient Program, EPP.

Am due to meet Rehab contact on Monday to put together my own Angina Plan.

And I'm still sticking to my veggie, mostly vegan diet. I don't miss meat at all, even bacon! But oh for fish and chips from Kings in Northfields!

Angina Friday

Felt groggy, dizzy, after taking meds this morning. Quite scary but felt much better after an hour or so.

Just as I thought we were beating Angina, she bounced back :-(

This was shortly after a meal though; the time when she strikes.

I haven't used my GTN spray though so far this year. In early December I was having to use it several times a day.

I have had 2 fitness sessions this week and Angina was kept at bay so overall it's been a good week.

Exercise....Angina Tempted

Wow, the exercise was beefed up today, or veganned up. It was harder and they even had me doing ridiculous things on a mat.

Blood pressure was lower at the end, no doubt caused by utter relief. I'll be back though.

Am just about to collect the cholesterol free curry. The reward.
