Look, I'm really grateful to come under a Cardiac Rehab team, because angina patients don't normally get a look in.
As a result of my referral, I'm able to have an appointment with a psychologist.
I'm looking forward to it - it's next Monday. On going through the bumpf sent to me I noticed that the Cardiac Rehab Psychology Service leaflet actually refers to cancer.
After the Ikea experience yesterday, I wasn't daunted and tried another walk about. It was a short one but involved a half run brisk walk hybrid sprint to get a waiting bus. Angina was back but I wasn't surprised or too disappointed. I'd caught the bus after all. And it wasn't so bad that I needed the GTN spray.
I'd read that walking briskly round a shopping centre was as good as going for a walk anywhere and so we headed for Ikea - to have a good walk about. It was exactly as we should have predicted. A very gentle stroll indeed. Well, there's always Westfield!
After yesterday's disappointment, today was better. No angina pain on the walk round the park to Tesco. Just the sound of all the pills - the Statins, Amlodipine, Ramipril, Aspirin, Nicorandil, Ranalazine! They all sound like bands. The Statins could be tamla....asprin could challenge Bastille.....:-)
