Don't you just hate it when belittled by GP reception staff?

Don't you hate it when there's an implication that you shouldn't be bothering the GPs? Today's incident is a relatively trivial matter but hey I'm going to tell you about it anyway. I get my medication every two months, ish. The ish is that some packs are for 28 days; others are for 30 days. My last prescription was dated 2nd June. So I'm running out of some meds. With me? Good. Well the GP receptionist wasn't with me. She hadn't got my email requesting a repeat prescription and when told that I'd had an acknowledgement for it, then said I didn't need the meds because the last prescription was June 2nd. I did explain and I did ask her what today's date was. And I was then told that the prescription was going to be ready on Friday. No sorry, we lost your email. No sorry, I made a mistake and forgot that 8 weeks on from 2nd June was yesterday. I'd had quite enough meds thank you, was the message. Don't ask for more! It's enough to bring on angina.....
